Our fully licensed cafe is part of the shop, and the shop is part of the cafe…come and enjoy fresh modern vegetarian dishes inspired by world travels and seasonal favourites, prepared with passion and thoughtfully sourced ingredients by people who really care about food. We have great coffee and tea (our Method Roastery Coffee and Trumpers Loose Leaf Tea are both small batch, short supply chain and locally roasted and blended by some super lovely folk) or enjoy a glass of organic wine, local cider, or a little cocktail with your lunch. Our bread is hand made by local artisan bakers, as are the legendary muffins alongside our home made cakes. Seasonal produce is at the heart of our menu, and as much as we can get comes from very local growers 100% Hay, Primrose Farm and Weobley Ash. The cafe is open 10am-5pm (closed Tuesday), no need to reserve a table, just pop in!
Keep an eye on our What’s On page for the dates for when you can find the entire shop turned into the most sought-out bar in town. Every night during Hay Festival, and every couple of months during the rest of the year, you can join us us for the freshest, most seductive cocktails, showcasing fantastic award-winning Chase Distillery gin and vodka, Herefordshire ciders, and craft beers. You will find acoustic, folk, and often inappropriate DJ sessions to enjoy with your drinks…a party not to be missed!
Please do come and have a chat with us if you’re interested in using our space for your own event…we pop up for select little private dinner parties for up to 30 people with a home cooked seasonal menu and cocktails created just for you…whether it be a work gathering, unusual hen party, birthday dinner or just an excuse to celebrate with friends. Please note bookings need to be made at least one month in advance.
